EIGHT GREAT TEXTBOOKS

These are the texts that Sun Myung Moon identified as core resources for anyone seeking to understand his words and to live a life according to the Divine Principles of our Creator. This collection is not made up exclusively of what are traditionally known as textbooks. It includes selections from his thousands of sermons and other speeches, an anthology of his teachings compared with other scriptures, and a prayer for couples to use when they pledge their love and loyalty to God and the Divine Providence. Speaking in his role as True Parent of humankind, he explained the importance of these works:

True Parents have already prepared the last words I will give to humankind. These have been prepared based on my triumphs over six or seven life-or-death situations, including six periods of unjust imprisonment. I am leaving behind eight textbooks and teaching materials for humankind to use for all eternity. Altogether, these are published in almost a thousand volumes.
